Ed Ames: Christmas with Ed Ames/Christmas Is the Warmest Time of the Year. CD

• Two Sought-After Christmas Albums from the Famed Singer and Actor

• Featuring His Beloved Version of "Do You Hear What I Hear?"

• First Time on CD for Both Albums

• Newly Remastered with Liner Notes

Ed Ames first gained notoriety as one of four siblings in the beloved ‘50s vocal group the Ames Brothers, but his star rose even higher when he split off for a solo career as an actor—starring as Chief Bromden opposite Kirk Douglas in the Broadway premiere production of One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest and, of course, as Mingo on the Daniel Boone television show—and as a singer, recording some 20 albums for RCA throughout the ‘60s and early ‘70s. Though he scored a couple of big hits with “My Cup Runneth Over” and “Who Will Answer?,” for many his two Christmas albums, Christmas with Ed Ames (featuring his beloved rendition of “Do You Hear What I Hear?”) and Christmas Is the Warmest Time of the Year, remain the high points of his recording career, perennial fixtures atop holiday music fans’ wish lists. Real Gone Music’s reissue of these Christmas favorites includes the original album artwork, liner notes and a remastering job that really brings out the rich tones of Ed’s distinctive baritone.
